Daniel Tkaczuk

Daniel Tkaczuk ( born June 10, 1979 in Toronto, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who was most recently at the Nottingham Panthers in the Elite Ice Hockey League contract.

Career

Tkaczuk began his career in 1995 in the Canadian Junior Football League OHL Barrie Colts in the. Already in his first year achieved the then 17 -year-old in 61 games remarkable 61 points scorer. In his second season, the left gunner was able to increase again, and thus attracted the attention of some NHL scouts up. Finally, during the NHL Entry Draft in 1997, it was the Calgary Flames, who could opt for Tkaczuk. They chose the Canadians in the first round in sixth place overall.

For the season 1999/2000 changed the 1.85 m wide center in the American Hockey League for the Saint John Flames. In the summer of 2003, Tkaczuk opted for a move to Europe, where he signed in the Finnish SM- liiga a one-year contract with Rauman Lukko. Since the contract was not renewed at the end of the season, it pulled the striker for season 2004 /05 in the Italian Seria A to the HC Milano Vipers, with whom he could be a season later Italian masters.

Due to the benefits shown in Italy of Canadians was taken to season 2006/ 07 by the ERC Ingolstadt of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract. 2007 Daniel moved to league rivals Tkaczuk EV Duisburg, for whom he was two years in the service. Following the Canadians returned to North America and signed with the Charlotte Checkers on from the ECHL. In the 2009/10 season the links Sagittarius was also for various AHL teams in action before Tkaczuk accepted an offer from the Austrian second division EC Dornbirn in September 2010. The season 2010/11 ended the Canadians finally wearing the jersey of the Nottingham Panthers, with whom he won the Challenge Cup and the playoff championship of the Elite Ice Hockey League.

Internationally

1999 was Tkaczuk first time in the squad of the Canadian junior national team, with which he participated in the same year at the U20 World Junior Championships in Canada and won the silver medal. Tkaczuk, who scored six goals and four assists in seven games, was appointed to the All- Star team of the tournament.
