Daniyar Yeleussinov

Danijar Jeleussinow (born 13 March 1991) Kazakh; Daniyar Yeleussinov, is a Kazakh boxer and is ranked one of the AIBA World Ranking welterweight (as of December 3, 2013 ). It is about 1,88 m tall and comes from Astana.

National success

It was in 2008 Kazakh youth champion at lightweight, 2009 Kazakh youth welterweight champion, 2010 and 2011 Kazakh champion in the light welterweight, welterweight champion and 2012 Kazakh.

International success

In 2006 he won the gold medal in the light flyweight at the World Cadet Championships in Istanbul. He had it enforced against Dmitri Bul from Ukraine, Bachtijar Nadirow from Azerbaijan, Yevhen Petukhov from Belarus and Alexander Kuznetsov from Russia. The World Cadet Championships 2007 in Baku, he won bronze in the bantamweight. His first international success in the elite class (adults) was winning the Asian Games 2010 in Guangzhou; he had defeated it in the Light Welterweight Muhammad Islam from Afghanistan, Houman Karami from Iran, Sanscharbek Rakhmonov from Uzbekistan and Santosh Kumar from India. At the 2011 World Championships in Baku, he hit Josh Taylor of Scotland and Masatsugu Kawachi of Japan, but subsequently resigned from in the second round against the Hungarian Gyula Kate.

In 2012, he won the light welterweight Asian Olympic qualification in Astana, after he had defeated Ibrahim Saleh from Jordan, Kim Song - chol from North Korea, Uktamjon Rakhmonov from Uzbekistan and Serdar Hudaýberdiýew from Turkmenistan. In the subsequent 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, he was able to prevail against Jamal Herring from the U.S. and Mehdi Tolouti from Iran, but was eliminated in the quarterfinals against Vincenzo Mangiacapre from Italy, and remained thus medaillenlos.

In 2013 he was again in Amman Asia welterweight champion. His opponent on the way to the title were Wissam Jabbar from Iraq, Maimatti Tusunqiong from China, Mohamed al - Assi from Jordan and Mandeep Jangra from India. In October of the same year he also won in Almaty the world title at welterweight. He defeated in the first round Carl sheild from the Bahamas, in the second round Souleymane Cissokho of France, in the quarterfinals Vincenzo Mangiacapre from Italy, in the semifinals Araik Marutjan from Germany and in the final Arisnoide Despaigne from Cuba.
