Danja Müsch

Danja Müsch ( born April 14, 1971 in Kassel) is a former German volleyball and beach volleyball player. She was European and German Champion three times and took part in the Olympic Games. She currently works as a trainer and reporter.

Sporting career

Müsch began in 1984 with the Volleyball Hall at SSC Vellmar. After a stopover at the TV Creglingen she played from 1992 for the USC Munster, with whom she won the 1994 CEV Cup. For the national team, she completed 45 internationals. On the side of Beate Bühler Müsch 1994 European Champion in her first beach season. In 1995, she won for the first time the German Championship in Timmendorfer beach. The following year it was enough only for third place nationally, but internationally there have been some successes. The duo Bühler / Müsch reached the final of the European Championship came at the World Tour finals three times (Italy, Indonesia and Belgium), finishing in seventh place at the Olympic Games in Atlanta. Then Müsch changed their partner. With Maike Friedrichsen she succeeded in the first season of victory in the German Championship and a second place at the World Tour tournament in Japan. After a third place in 1998, the duo repeated the 1999 national success. In addition Müsch was honored as beach volleyball player of the year in the years 1997 to 1999. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 she reached the ninth. In 2001 she celebrated as German Champion recent triumph with Maike Friedrichsen. Then they formed a duo with Susanne lame and peaked at the national championship in 2002 and 2003, the final third. At the World Tour 2003 in the finals of Lianyungang. In 2004, she managed the same in Mallorca and experienced in Athens her third Olympic tournament, which she finished in ninth place. Trainer and reporter

Between 2007 and 2010 Müsch worked as a reporter for the sports channel sportdigital.tv, besides handball and basketball also broadcast games of volleyball between the Bundesliga season 2007/ 08 and 2009/10 season.

Private

Müsch is married to German sports reporter Ralf Scholt and has a daughter. But now she lives apart from her husband.
