David Alexandre Winter

David Alexandre Winter ( born April 4, 1943 in Amsterdam as Leon Kleerekoper ) is a Dutch pop singer.

In the 1960s he was a DJ at Radio Veronica and sang at that time already a first singles. He moved in 1969 to Paris, where he participated successfully at the Festival de la Chanson d' Antibes. He received a record deal with the label Riviera Records and his first single, Oh Lady Mary, was directly a number one hit in the French charts. Also, the accompanying album of the same title landed at number one.

He was selected to represent Luxembourg at the Euro Vision Song Contest 1970 in Amsterdam. With the hit Je suis tombé du ciel he landed, however, with zero points in last place. He remained true to the music and even published several singles and an LP in French.

After a divorce, he moved in 1979 to the United States, where he was active as a car salesman.
