Ireen Sheer

Ireen Sheer ( born February 25, 1949 in Romford, England; actually Ireen Wooldridge ) is a German -British pop singer and actress, who grew up bilingual.

Career

Ireen Sheer is the daughter of an English father and a German mother. It was discovered in 1961 in a talent competition and completed parallel to their success as a bank clerk. Before she devoted herself since 1970 her solo career, she worked among others with pop groups like Family Dogg together.

From 1970 she devoted herself to her solo career, initially with English recordings.
