David Phillips (footballer)

David Owen Phillips ( born July 29, 1963 in Wegberg, Germany ) is a former Welsh footballer. He celebrated his biggest success as a player of Coventry City winning the FA Cup 1986/87. Between 1984 and 1996 he played 62 international matches for the Welsh national team.

Playing career

Plymouth Argyle and Manchester City

David Phillips began his career in the English third division side Plymouth Argyle, before moving to Manchester City in 1984.
