Deniss Ivanovs

Denis's Ivanov (Russian Денис Иванов; born January 11, 1984 in Liepāja ) is a Latvian footballer, who plays for FK Baku in the Premyer Liqasi.

Club career

Deniss Ivanov began his career in the youth of his home club FK Liepāja Metalurgs. In 2001, this was the first time in a competitive match for Metalurgs on the lawn. After nine seasons in the Virsliga in which he won the championship twice (once of them with Rüdiger Abramczik ) and the Latvian Cup and the Baltic League 2007 Ivanov moved to South Africa Ajax Cape Town. After the 2009/10 season the defensive player moved to the Süper Lig Sivasspor to. Already a season later, Ivanov moved to FK Baku with Aleksandrs Starkovs a Latvian trainer and with Māris Verpakovskis had a player from the Baltic state under contract. With the Azerbaijani club he was in the first year after a Cup Winners' Cup final victory against Neftchi Baku.

National

Deniss Ivanov was convened for the first time in the national squad of Latvia in 2005. On his debut, he came in December 2005 against Thailand during the King 's Cup. With the Latvian selection he took part in the Baltic Cup 2008 and 2010. For its first participation in 2008 he won with the team the total of 20 titles for Latvia.
