Desmond Armstrong

Desmond Armstrong ( born November 2, 1964 in Washington, DC, USA ) is a former American football player at the position of a defender.

After college, he played for several clubs in the former American Professional Soccer League ( APSL ). In 1991, he played a year in Brazil when Pelé club Santos.

Armstrong was Libero and defenders, particularly strong in the tackle with a good overview and one of the best U.S. defenders of his generation.

For the U.S., he played between 1987 and 1994 81 times for the national team. Today he is a college football coach at a university.
