The German reading price is a nationwide reading contest in Germany for participants of all ages with the goal of general promotion of reading and reading aloud, as well as the award of the social commitments of volunteer readers.

Award and categories

Since its launch in 2006, the German reading prize is awarded annually in various categories. Prerequisite for participation is usually a separate application.
