Devil Without a Cause (Eng. hell for no reason ) is the fourth studio album by American musician Kid Rock. It was published on 18 August 1998. It is the successor of 1996 brought out Early Morning Stoned Pimp and is considered the most successful of the musician.

The lyrics to the songs wrote Kid Rock along with the members of his band and with Uncle Kracker, who had already begun at this time his solo career. It is the last album by Kid Rock, which is classified more in the genre Hip -hop than rock. Most of the pieces are a mix of these two genres. However, this can be found also some pure hip hop tracks on the album, such as the title song Welcome 2 the Party. Publications

The first single Welcome 2 the Party ( Ode 2 the Old School ) was published. However, the single was not a success and missed the charts. The album was only known as I Am the Bullgod the mainstream rock charts in the U.S. reached. The third single, Bawitdaba then brought her international breakthrough. The title was able to place in the charts, among others in Germany, New Zealand and the UK, but also missed the official U.S. charts. The first success in the U.S. charts had with Kid Rock Cowboy and Only God Knows Why, that could be placed there at number 82 and 19 respectively.

The album received mostly positive reviews. Allmusic.com awarded 4.5 stars out of 5. The magazine Rolling Stone awarded 4 stars out of 5 .. For ultimate- guitar.com the album received 8.5 out of 10 possible points.
