Dexter Jackson (bodybuilder)
Tyrone Dexter "The Blade " Jackson ( born November 25, 1969) is a professional American, IFBB bodybuilders from Jacksonville, Florida. He is married and father of three children.
Life
Nicknamed "The Blade" he got from Ed Parriso due to its razor-sharp muscle division.
On September 27, 2008 Jackson was able to record his greatest success. He won in his ninth participation the title Mr. Olympia in Las Vegas.
After a successful year of competition for Jackson, he beat the reigning, three -time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler. Dexter Jackson is thus only the twelfth athlete who was able to win this item. Furthermore, he is the fourth competitor who could beat a reigning Mr. Olympia in trying the title defense.
Born the second of six children, he laid the foundation of his career in his youth in various sports. He coached, among other American football, karate and baseball. With the bodybuilding Jackson began in 1990 in Jacksonville. He was the first bodybuilder was able to win the overall title as a bantamweight championship in Florida.
His professional debut was in 1999 at the Arnold Classic with a seventh place. In the years 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2013, he won this lucrative competition for themselves.
Other successes celebrated Jackson at the British Grand Prix in 2002, at the Show of Strength Pro Championship 2003, Grand Prix Australia 2004 Ironman Pro Invitational 2004 at the San Francisco Pro Invitational in 2004, the Australian Pro Grand Prix VIII in 2008 and the New Zealand Grand Prix 2008.
