Dinnet

Dinnet is a village in the Scottish unitary authority Aberdeenshire. It is located about 50 kilometers west of Aberdeen and 65 kilometers north of Dundee. The nearest towns are Aboyne Ballater in the east and the west. A few hundred meters south of the Dee runs. Dinnet located at the junction of the A97 to the A93 and is thus connected via two highways. Its own rail connection does not have the village.

To the north and west of the town extends to the nature reserve Muir of Dinnet, a birch forest. About 1.5 km to the southwest lies Dinnet House, which was built for the politician Charles Wilson, 1st Baron Nunburnholme in 1890. As well as several outbuildings on the property as it is today protected as a monument of category B. In 1899 a church was built in Dinnet.
