The A97 is a trunk road in Scotland. It starts at the southern edge of Banff and ends at the A93 in Dinnet.

Course

On the southern edge of Banff the A97 branches off the A98. It proceeds in a southwesterly direction through a sparsely populated region of Aberdeenshire. After about 13 km you reach with Aberchirder the first significant village. Further south, crosses the A97 then the Deveron, whose running she had followed the first few kilometers. Next to the southwest eventually reaching the A96 and is a short distance out together with this. It runs through the center of Huntly and then follows in a southerly direction to the course of Bogie, she crosses beyond Rhynie. In Glenkindie describes the A97 following the course of the Don a wide loop and crosses this after all. From there on in a south-southeast direction to extend the road passes a few hamlets, before finally opens in Dinnet after a total of 91 km in the A93. With the exception of a short piece beyond the crossing of the Deveron, which leads through Moravia, the A97 runs exclusively in Aberdeenshire.
