Diocese of Lapua

The Diocese of Lapua is one of nine dioceses of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. Bishop of the diocese since 2004 Simo Peura.

The diocese was established in 1956. It comprises the parishes of the landscape Southern Ostrobothnia, the largest part of Central Finland, the northern part of Pirkanmaa and the Finnish-speaking parishes of the landscape Ostrobothnia. Episcopal see is the cathedral of Lapua.
