Discovery Records is an American rhythm and blues and jazz record label that was founded in 1948 by Albert Marx.

The jazz fan, impresario and promoter Albert Marx had founded in New York City in 1945, the short-lived label Guild and with Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker made ​​recordings ( " Salt Peanuts ").
