Divine Heresy

Divine Heresy (English: Divine heresy ) is an American death metal band from Los Angeles. The band combines elements of death metal, alternative metal and metalcore in their music.

Career

The band was founded in 2006 by former Fear Factory and Brujeria and Asesino guitarist Dino Cazares jetzigem. For the drums Cazares recruited Tim Yeung, who has previously played with Vital Remains and Hate Eternal. In early 2007 came the former singer Tommy Vext Vext the band. In February and March 2007 Divine Heresy recorded their first album Bleed the Fifth. Since the band had no bass player took over Dino Cazares this Part The album was produced by former Machine Head and Soulfly guitarist Logan Mader.

After completion of the recordings, the band signed a contract with Century Media for the North American region as well as with Roadrunner Records for the rest of the world. Shortly before the album's release, the band with Joe Payne (ex - Nile ) undertook a solid bass player. The debut album Bleed the Fifth was released on 24 August 2007. In November and December 2007, a North American tour with Chimaira, Kataklysm and Terror is planned.

Tommy Vext has left the band in 2008 after a dispute with Dino Cazares. The new singer is now Travis Neal.

The second studio album Bringer of Plagues was released on 28 July 2009 in the U.S. via Century Media and worldwide via Roadrunner Records.
