Dmitri Khristich

Dmytro Iwanowytsch Chrystytsch (Ukrainian Дмитро Іванович Христич, Russian Дмитрий Иванович Христич / Dmitri Ivanovich Christ sealed; born July 23, 1969 in Kiev, Ukrainian SSR ) is a retired Ukrainian professional ice hockey player in his playing days from 1985 to 2004 among others for the Washington Capitals, Los Angeles Kings, Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs played in the National Hockey League.

Career

Dmytro Chrystytsch began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at HK Sokol Kiev, for whom he played in the Soviet Hockey League from 1985 to 1990. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1988 in the sixth round as the 120th overall player of the Washington Capitals, where he made ​​his debut in the National Hockey League in the 1990/91 season. He scored in his rookie year in 51 games 31 scorer points, including 14 goals. In addition, the attacker completed three games for their farm team, the Baltimore Skipjacks, in the American Hockey League. After five years in Washington the right shooter was delivered to their league rival Los Angeles Kings, for which he also in two other years in the NHL aground as then for the Boston Bruins.

His career ended the 1990 World Champion at HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the Russian Super League, in which he stood until 2004 on the ice. With Magnitogorsk he was in season 2003/ 04 runners-up.

Internationally

For the Soviet Union took Chystytsch at the World Youth Championship 1989 and the 1990 World Cup in part. For Ukraine, he participated in the World Championships in 2001, 2002 and 2003, and the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City in part.
