Dollis Hill tube station

Dollis Hill is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Brent. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 3 on the Burnley Road. The station served by the Jubilee Line station was used in 2011 of 3.08 million passengers.

Although the route already existed since 1880, but the station was first built subsequently to tap an emerging residential area. The opening took place on October 1st 1909 by the Metropolitan Railway ( predecessor company of the Metropolitan Line). As of November 20, 1939 held here also trains the Bakerloo Line, which took over the traffic on the Stanmore branch route. However, the parallel transport lasted only a few months; to allow for acceleration and unbundling, the Metropolitan Line trains pass since December 7, 1940, this station without stopping. On 1 May 1979, the newly opened Jubilee Line took over the traffic of the Bakerloo Line.
