Dorian Gray (actress)

Dorian Gray (actually Maria Luisa Mangini, born February 2, 1928 in Bolzano, † 15 February, 2011 Torcegno ) was an Italian actress.

Life

Gray was initially successful in the role of " blond innocence " on theater stages, in revues and quickly in the film. First, she started as a ballerina; her training at the La Scala worried Aurel Millos. Then she studied with Pina Renzi. She made her debut in the play votate by Venere (1950 ) with Erminio Macario and Gino Bramieri. The following year she accepted the offer to go to the movie and participated in some strips. But greater success they had in pieces like Gran baraonda or Made in Italy on the stage; to mid-1950s, she was cast as a femme fatale and highlighted for Passio doppio with Ugo Tognazzi and Raimondo Vianello from contemporary critics.

Now, the film offers were interesting; she starred in comedies as well as under Federico Fellini and Michelangelo Antonioni. By 1963, she starred in several films as; then only two more times, until in 1967 they finally retired into private life.

Gray died in 2011 by suicide.
