Drogheda United F.C.

The Drogheda United Football Club ( Irish: Cumann Peile Dhroichead Átha Aontaithe ) is a football club established in 1919 from the Irish town of Drogheda. The club in its present form was established in 1975 by the merger of Drogheda FC with Drogheda United and plays since then in the League of Ireland.

History

Drogheda United was indeed already founded in 1919, but the team has always played in lower leagues.
