Geographical location

The municipality is located in Steinlachtal between the Swabian Alb and the landscape protection area Rammert south of Tübingen. By Dußlinger district flow the Steinlach and Wiesaz.

History

Dußlingen was first mentioned in 888 as Tuzzilinga on a charter of King Arnulf. However, a continuous colonization probably since the 7th century.

In Dußlingen the ruins of the castle Dußlingen is from the 13th century.

Traffic

In North / South direction, the Federal Highway 27 runs through the municipality. The national road 385 connects the municipality with Reutlingen. Between 2009 and 2014, the B27 is four lanes expanded in Dußlingen and laid in two tunnel tubes. Water supply

The drinking water supply for the community is perceived by the administration union Steinlach water supply. The drinking water comes to 60 per cent from its own water from the Tübingen- Kilchberg and 40 percent of reference of the Lake Constance Water Supply.
