Dvory (Prachatice District)

Dvory ( German Courts ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers north-west of Prachatice and belongs to Okres Prachatice.

Geography

Dvory is on the left about the Engtälern the Blanice and its tributary creek Němčský in Šumava foothills. East of the Blanice is jammed in the drinking water reservoir Husinec.

Neighboring towns are Pěčnov in the north, and Horouty Husinec in the northeast, Prachatice to the southeast, and Oseky Zábrdí in the south, Milešin the southwest, Lažiště in the west and Dachov in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village took place in 1410.

In 1961, the annexation to Lažiště; since November 24, 1990 Dvory again forms a community.
