Ed Bruce

William Edwin " Ed" Bruce, Jr. ( born December 29, 1939 in Keiser (Arkansas ) ) is an American country music singer and songwriter.

Life

Bruce grew up in Memphis (Tennessee ), where he joined in 1957 at the age of 17 years on the sound engineer Jack Clement of Sun Records, who introduced him to the owner Sam Phillips. That same year, Bruce took his first at Sun Rockabilly - Single Rock Boppin 'Baby, which was not very successful. In 1962 he wrote Save Your Kisses for the pop singer Tommy Roe.

In 1964 Bruce to Nashville and became a member of the " Marijohn Wilkins Singers". During this time he was successful as a singer of jingles.
