Eiksund

The Eiksundbrua ( German " Eiksundbrücke " ) is a bridge in the West Norwegian municipality of Ulstein in Møre og Romsdal Fylke. The 405 meter long and 16 meter high bridge connects the island with Eika Hareidlandet. The design for the bridge dates from Aas - Jakobsen. The construction costs amounted to 800 million Norwegian kroner. The Eiksundbrua is part of the Eiksundsambandet ( Eiksundverband ), to which even the Eiksundtunnel ( 7765 m), the Helge Horn Tunnel ( 1160 m) and the Morkaåstunnel (630 m) belong.

The bridge was completed in 2005.
