Eitel Frederick III, Count of Hohenzollern

Eitel Friedrich III. of Hohenzollern (* 1494, † June 15, 1525 in Pavia) from the Swabian line of the Hohenzollern was 1512-1525 Count of Hohenzollern.

Life

Eitel Friedrich III. was the son of Count Eitel Friedrich II of Hohenzollern (1452-1512) from his marriage to Magdalena (1460-1496), daughter of Margrave Friedrich III. of Brandenburg. He succeeded his father in 1512 as regent of the county of Hohenzollern. On the other hand looked at Gustav Schilling Eitel Friedrich as the grandson Eitel Frederick II Eitel Friedrich was formed together with the future Emperor Charles V in Brussels.

In 1515 he married Johanna van Witthem († 1544), daughter of Philip, Lord of Beersel and Bautershem.
