Rami Sebei ( born July 12, 1984 in Hill Valley, Quebec ), better known under the ring name El Generico, is a Canadian professional wrestler. He is currently under contract with WWE. His biggest success was the preservation of the ROH World Tag Team Championship with Kevin Steen.

Career

Beginnings / Independent

Its beginnings made ​​Sebei in Canada at various independent promotions (eg, International Wrestling Syndicate or Elite Wrestling Revolution). His first title, the IWS Heavyweight title, Sebei won on 15 June 2004., He joined in late 2004 for the first time in the United States. On September 19, 2008 Sebei won the ROH World Tag Team Championship with Kevin Steen. The title they gave from an American Wolves ( Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) in April 2009. In December 2009, the tag team broke up and Sebei feuded with Colt Cabana vs. Kevin Steen and Steve Corino. The feud ended in a match at ROH Final Battle 2010, which won Sebei. 2010 formed Sebei with Paul London a tag team. With London Sebei won on May 9, 2010, the PWG World Tag Team Championship. In 2011 he won the tournament CHIKARA Rey de Voladores.

On June 26, 2011 Sebei won the ROH World Television Championship from Christopher Daniels. The title he gave to Jay Lethal on August 13, 2011.

Sebei also competes in the European and Mexican wrestling scene. So he was more than once obliged to Westside Xtreme Wrestling, International Pro Wrestling United Kingdom and Independent Wrestling League. But he also accepts commitments within the NWA. On 4 March 2012, he won the 16 Carat Gold Tournament 2012 in Oberhausen, where he was able to defeat the Dutch Tommy End in the final of the wXw.
