Elene Gedevanishvili

Elene Gedevanishvili (Georgian ელენე გედევანიშვილი, born January 7, 1990 in Tbilisi, Georgian SSR, Soviet Union) is a Georgian figure skater. The first Georgian she managed a medal in a competition part of the Junior Grand Prix.

Career

In the season 2005/ 06 they started for the first time in the senior class of the ladies.

Znächst trained Elene Gedevanishvili in Moscow with Jelena Bujanowa and Tatiana Tarasova, and later in Roman Serov. At the European Championships in 2006, the first international appearance in the seniors, she placed herself at first to the fifth rank. In the women's competition of the 2006 Olympic Games she finished 10th.

Since 2009 she trained in North America first with Robin Wagner and also occasionally at Elaine Zayak. It reached its first major success at the European Championships 2010 in Tallinn by winning the bronze medal. At the Olympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver Elene Gedevanishvili finished in 14th place.

Since July 2011, she is coached by Brian Orser in Hackensack in the USA. At the European Championships in 2012 Elene Gedevanishvili again won the bronze medal.
