Elisabeth Osl

Elisabeth OSL ( born November 21, 1985 in Kirchberg in Tirol, Austria ) is an Austrian mountain bike racer.

Career

Elisabeth Osl grew up in Kirchberg in Tirol and comes from a sporting family. Father Philip denied that time road cycling race, the sisters Maria and Michaela are also in mountain bike racing active.

Elizabeth began her sports career in 1998 with the participation of amateur mountain bike race. Since 2001, she also participated successfully in races at the national level and won several state championship titles in the U17 class and a junior vice champion title in 2002 in Kaprun.

From the beginning to 2008, she started for the mountain bike team Kirchberger Tonis Pro Team Kirchberg. Since 2003 Elisabeth professional athlete is at the Austrian Federal HLSZ in Hochfilzen. In early 2008, she joined the team GHOST International.

In the UCI world ranking of 18 October 2007 (2007 UCI Mountain Bike Rankings ) Elisabeth OSL is the second- best european rank 7

On 18 May 2008, she qualified with a ninth place finish at the European Championships in St. Wendel for the Olympic Games in Beijing. There they came with 6:28 minutes behind the German champion Sabine Spitz in eleventh place.

At the last World Cup race, while their home race in Schladming in Austria she succeeded on September 19, 2009, which was granted to any Austrian MTB athletes in front of her: She won the MTB World Cup Cross-Country with a superior start-to- ride and 1:05 minutes ahead of Norwegian rival Lene Byberg. Eighty fans from Kirchberg had arrived in anticipation of this triumph, including her closest confidants of the first hours of her young career.

In 2012 she was once again able to qualify after 2008 for the Summer Olympic Games in London, where it starts on August 12 along with Karl Markt and Alexanderplatz Gehbauer for Austria.

Lisi- OSL - Trail

In honor of Elisabeth Osl of Tourism Kirchberg has designated a 2.3 km long downhill stretch on the Gaisberg after her. The May 31, 2011 Opened by the namesake route leads from the top station 450 vertical meters down the Gaisberg. With a difficulty level from S1 to S2 ( mild to moderate ) the route to be feasible for single-trail beginners.
