Elizabeth Sellars

Elizabeth Sellars ( born May 6, 1923 in Glasgow, Scotland, UK ) is a British film and stage actress.

Life

Sellars turned at a young age to the theater and studied at the London's traditional drama school Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1946 she appeared in a production of the play The Brothers Karamazov on.

Sellars had her film debut in 1949 in the film Two young hearts. In 1952 she starred opposite John Mills and Dirk Bogarde in the IRA thriller The bomb in the subway tunnel, the main role of the patriotic freedom fighter Maureen Fagan. In The Barefoot Contessa Sellars came in 1954 on the side of Humphrey Bogart and Ava Gardner on.

In 1957, Sellars played in the piece loner ( Tea and Sympathy ) at London's Comedy Theatre. She took over the role of the love with Laura, who is much younger boarders Tom Lee (played by Tim Seely ).

In 1967, she was seen in the Hammer film The Curse of the Mummy.
