Career

Corinthians Paranaense - OSC Lille

Emerson began his professional career in 2006 in the Club Corinthians Paranaense ( 2006 or J. Malucelli Futebol ). Through his performance, he fell on the French Lille. For the 2006/07 season he was transferred for a fee of 450,000 € to Lille, where he soon became a first-team regular. Together with his club, he won 14 May 2011 the French Football Cup and in the same year the French league.

Benfica Lisbon

End of July 2011 signed a contract Émerson for three years at Benfica. This transfer cost the club around 2 million euro transfer fee. On July 20, 2011, he played his first game for Benfica, in the friendly match against Toulouse FC. In summer 2012 Émerson was not included in the plans of coach Jorge Jesus and the team decided to change.

Trabzonspor

The full-back joined the 2012/13 season for 1.6 million euros to Turkey to Trabzonspor, where he signed a contract until the summer of 2014. Benfica has a 20 % interest in a resale.

Stade Rennes

In the summer of 2013, the Brazilian has signed a one-year contract with the French first division side Stade Rennes.
