Emseloh is a district of the city Altstedt in the district of Mansfeld- South Harz in Saxony- Anhalt.
Geography
Emseloh is located approximately 11 kilometers north of the city Altstedt between Sangerhausen and Eisleben. South of the town lies the Blank Forst, by Emseloh flows Röhrgraben. North of the village lie the deserted villages Schaubesfelde, Utenfelde and Eichenborn.
History
The village was first mentioned in a document on June 22, 1268. On 1 January 2010, until then independent municipality Emseloh was incorporated together with the communities Beyernaumburg, Holdenstedt, Katharinenrieth, Liedersdorf, Mittelhausen Niederröblingen (helmets ), Nienstedt, Pölsfeld, Sotterhausen and Wolferstedt in the city Altstedt.
Traffic
Through the town, the L 151, Sangerhausen leads to Eisleben. The A38 motorway, which runs from Halle ( Saale) in Göttingen, is located south of Emseloh.
