Nienstedt is a district of the city Altstedt in the district of Mansfeld- South Harz in Saxony- Anhalt.

Geography

Nienstedt is between Sangerhausen and cross ford 4 km northeast of Altstedt on Westerbach.

History

In a resulting 881-899 Directory of tithing of Hersfeld Monastery is under the name Niustat a tenth managed place in the district of Friesland field above which is presumably been Nienstedt or the deserted village of Nienstedt or the deserted village Neustädt.

On 1 January 2010, until then independent municipality Nienstedt was together with the communities Beyernaumburg, Emseloh, Holdenstedt, Katharinenrieth, Liedersdorf, Mittelhausen Niederröblingen (helmets ), Pölsfeld, Sotterhausen Wolferstedt and incorporated into the city Altstedt.

West of the village the main road runs 86 (of Hettstedt to Weissensee ). The A38 motorway leading from Leipzig to Göttingen is located about 2 km south of Nienstedt.
