Holdenstedt is a district of the city Altstedt in the district of Mansfeld- South Harz in Saxony -Anhalt ( Germany ).

Geography

Holdenstedt between Sangerhausen and Eisleben 9 km north of Altstedt.

History

In a resulting 881-899 Directory of tithing of Hersfeld Monastery ( Hersfeld tithe directory) is first mentioned as requiring a tenth place in the frieze Holdestedi field in records Holdenstedt.

On 21 November 1998, the club opened " Feuerwehrhistorik Holdenstedt eV " in the Bauernreihe a fire museum. Since the opening of the fire museum has grown steadily and is currently being extended to a former LPG yard. It is one of the largest permanent exhibitions Fire Department in East Germany.

On 1 January 2010, until then independent municipality Holdenstedt together with the communities Beyernaumburg, Emseloh, Katharinenrieth, Liedersdorf, Mittelhausen Niederröblingen (helmets ), Nienstedt, Pölsfeld, Sotterhausen and Wolferstedt was incorporated into the city Altstedt.

North of the village the main road is 80, Sangerhausen to Eisleben. The motorway A 38 from Halle ( Saale) leads to Göttingen is located south of the Holdenstedt.

Regular events

The Pentecostal boys dance is the largest festival of the village.
