Energy and Water Resources Ministry
The Israeli Ministry of Energy and Water Supply ( מִשְׂרָד האֶנֶרְגְּיָה והמים Misrad HaEnergjia weHaMajim ) was founded in 1977. Until 1996 it was called the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure ( מִשְׂרָד האֶנֶרְגְּיָה והתַּשְׁתִּית Misrad HaEnergjia weHaTaschtit ). From 1996 to 2012 it was called the Ministry of National Infrastructures ( מִשְׂרָד התַּשְׁתִּיּוּת הלְאֻמִּיּוּת Misrad HaTaschtijut HaLe'umijut ). Current Minister Silvan Shalom is from the Likud (March 2013).
