Enrique Orizaola

Enrique Orizaola Velázquez ( born March 26, 1922 in Santander, † June 10, 2013 ) was a Spanish footballer and coach.

Career

In his time as a football player he was from 1941 to 1948 at Racing Santander under contract.

From 1956 he was the coach of the Spanish second division side Racing Santander by the year 1958. During the next two seasons he coached the second division Real Jaén and Real Murcia.

At the beginning of the 1960/61 season he was assistant coach of Ljubisa Brocic FC Barcelona and sparked him on 12 January 1961 as head coach from. With Orizaola Barcelona reached the final of the European Champions' Cup 1960/61, in which one Benfica was defeated with 2:3 itself. After this season in which he won five of 14 league games, he was replaced by Luis Miró.

In the season 1962/63 was Orizaola coach CA Osasuna, with whom he was relegated to the Segunda División this season. A season later he coached the first division club Real Oviedo and was to lead there again on the " best way " Oviedo in the second division. So it was not unexpected that he was replaced after a 0-3 defeat on Matchday 17 of the season by Eduardo Toba. In the following season he was coach of Spanish side Levante UD.
