The Eastern Province Rugby Union Stadium, usually abbreviated as EPRU Stadium, is a stadium in the South African city of Port Elizabeth. 33,852 people can find a place in the stands. Originally, the stadium was named after Boet Erasmus, a former mayor of Port Elizabeth. In September 1968, the Boet Erasmus Stadium was completely destroyed by a flood.

In July 2010, the stadium was closed, the games of the Eastern Province Rugby Union now take place at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. The last game wearing the Eastern Province Kings against the Blue Bulls on July 3, 2010.

Until the closure took place predominantly rugby union games, next to it but was also used for football matches. Even though it is now officially closed, wearing senior teams and amateur clubs in the EPRU Stadium games from; for club rugby, it is sometimes used.

Rugby Union World Cup 1995

With the Rugby Union World Cup 1995, the EPRU Stadium was one of nine venues in South Africa. Three games in Group A were held here:

African Cup of Nations 1996

In the African Cup of 1996, the EPRU Stadium was one of four stages. It was the venue for six group games and a quarter final.

Football World Cup 2010

In the Football World Cup 2010, the infrastructure of the EPRU Stadium was used; Games were not held here.
