Éric Bertrand

Éric Bertrand ( * April 16, 1975 in Saint- Ephrem -de -Beauce, Quebec ) is a Canadian ice hockey player ( striker ).

Career

Éric Bertrand began his career in the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL at the Granby Bisons, for whom he played from 1992 to 1995. In the NHL Entry Draft 1994 Links shooter was drafted by the New Jersey Devils to a total of 207 out. From 1995 he played for five years with the Albany River Rats, the farm team of the Devils in the AHL. In the season 1999/2000 he received while first appearances in the NHL, but changed due to the lack of perspective nor during the season for Premier League rivals Atlanta Thrashers. But even there, as well a year later at the Montreal Canadiens, he completed only a few games in the NHL and was mainly in the farm teams for use.

In 2001 he moved to Europe for the first time, played some games for the Bracknell Bees in the English league, and then joined the Kölner Haie of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga game. After he celebrated the German championship with the KEC, Bertrand returned again to North America, and played one season for the Hershey Bears in the AHL. The season 2003/ 04 he spent at the Krefeld Penguins. In 2005 he moved for another season after Germany, but increased it with the Kassel Huskies starting from the DEL. Last season he played for SønderjyskE Ishockey in the Danish first division.
