Ernest Howard Griffiths

Ernest Howard Griffiths ( born June 15, 1851 in Brecon, Wales, † March 3, 1932 ) was a British physicist. Mother's side he was descended from the British Admiral Robert Blake. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1895. In 1907 he won the Hughes Medal for his services to the exact physical measurements ( "for his Contributions to exact physical measurement" ).

Griffiths 1901 was director of the University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire, Cardiff (now Cardiff University). He received a professorship in experimental philosophy. He was a Fellow of Jesus College, Oxford in 1905, 1909, 1913 and 1917.
