Estrella Cabeza Candela

Estrella Cabeza Candela (born 20 February 1987 in Seville ) is a Spanish tennis player.

Career

In 2002, Cabeza Candela played in her home city of Seville her first ITF tournament. So far, they won eight ITF singles titles and seven doubles.

In May 2013, it was ranked first among the top 100 in the WTA rankings. At Wimbledon, she then qualified for the first time for the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament, but failed in the first round to Caroline Wozniacki. In July she reached the semi-finals for the first time in Palermo a WTA tournament, they defeated the eventual tournament champion Roberta Vinci 7-5, 2-6, 2:6.
