System

Synonyms of Euphronia Mart. & Zucc. are: Lightia R.H.Schomb. and Lightiodendron Rauschert.

The genus Euphronia was previously incorporated into the family of Vochysiaceae A.St. - Hil. , Which belongs to the order Myrtales. The Euphroniaceae family was not published until 1989 by Luis Marcano - Berti and confirmed by molecular genetic studies of Litt & Chase 1999. The Euphroniaceae family is the family of Trigoniaceae, Dichapetalaceae, Balanopaceae and particularly Chrysobalanaceae R.Br. close.

In the genus Euphronia and thus in the family of Euphroniaceae only one or three types are included:

  • Euphronia acuminatissima Steyerm.
  • Euphronia guianensis ( R.H.Schomb. ) H.Hallier
  • Euphronia hirtelloides Mart. ( Syn: . Euphronia licanioides ( Spruce ex Warm ) Hallier f, Lightia licanioides Spruce ex hot. )
