Eurico Dias Nogueira

Eurico Dias Nogueira ( born March 6, 1923 in Dornelas do Zêzere ) is retired archbishop of Braga and participants in the last two sessions of the Second Vatican Council.

Life

Eurico Dias Nogueira received on 22 December 1945, the ordination.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on July 10, 1964 Bishop of Vila Cabral. The Archbishop ad personam of Coimbra Ernesto Sena de Oliveira consecrated him on 6 December of the same year the bishop; Co-consecrators were Emanuele Trindade Salgueiro, Archbishop of Évora, and Manuel Dos Santos Rocha, Auxiliary Bishop of Lisbon.

On February 19, 1972, he was appointed Bishop of Lubango and resigned from this office back on 3 February of the same year. On November 3, 1977, he was appointed Archbishop of Braga. On June 5, 1999, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.

Eurico Dias Nogueira is Prior of the province of North of Portugal Lieutenancy of the Equestrian Order of the Holy grave in Jerusalem.
