European Parliament election, 1984 (Netherlands)

The 1984 European elections in the Netherlands took place on 14 June 1984. The Dutch chose 25 of the 434 members of the European Parliament.

Strongest party was the social democratic PvdA with slight vocal profits, while the Christian Democrat CDA suffered slight losses. In addition to the liberal VVD first time, Green and Christian fundamentalist politicians were able to move into the European Parliament. This was achieved through joint lists in each case several parties. The Groen Progressief Akkoord was doing later to the party Groen Links.
