Experience is the debut album of the English big beat band The Prodigy. It was released on 28 September 1992 on XL Recordings and rose in October of the same year at number 12 on the British charts.

Genesis

Since December 1990, The Prodigy had a record deal. 1991 appeared the singles " What Evil Lurks " and "Charly". The latter sold very well and was taken accordingly to the album, but as Trip Into Drum And Bass Version. In 1992, she published as the fourth single Fire / Jericho as cheerleaders on the album Experience, by a corresponding subtitles ( Strangely Limited Edition) was characterized. After the release of the album, the single was re-released again, but the subtitle was preserved.

Music style

Unlike later albums, this is still very oriented to the young rave movement. The hardcore sound, which they released with this album, she made to members and pioneers of rave culture in the 90s. With the follow-up album, however, they began to develop a unique sound, also due to the fact that Howlett announced that he and the band would no longer produce dance music for the underground scene.

On 19 June 2001 an extended version of the album released in the U.S., including a bonus CD with remixes and B- sides.

On 4 August 2008 appeared with "Experience Expanded " a remastered version of this album.
