Eyragues
Eyragues is a commune with 4100 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011) in the department of Bouches -du -Rhône Provence -Alpes- Côte d' Azur region. It belongs to Arrondissement Arles Canton and Château Renard.
Geography
The community is located 15 kilometers south of Avignon and six kilometers from Saint- Rémy. Neighboring towns are mail Lane (4 miles), Graveson ( 4 km ), Château Renard ( 5 km ), Noves (7 km) and Verquières ( 5 km ).
Culture and sights
- Chapel Sainte -Maxime from the 11th and 12th century with Gothic apses and a bell tower from the 18th century
- Chapel Saint -Bonnet extended from the 11th century in the 17th century; contains tombs of early Christians
Management
The church is the seat of the Communauté de communes Rhône Alpilles Durance.
