Fania Records

Fania Records is an American record label based in New York that sells Latin American music.

Development

Fania Records was founded in 1963 by flutist Johnny Pacheco and Jerry Masucci his lawyer.

The name comes from one composed by Reinaldo Bolanos Son montuno. At the beginning of the record company only served to drive Johnny Pacheco's works, recorded with his orchestra. In 1968 formed the artists that stood by Fania under contract, the band Fania All-Stars.
