After the introduction of professional football in France ( 1932) played FC Sète to 1954 continuously in the Division 1 (now Ligue 1), and in the first decade with great success: the Green-Whites in France were the first winners of the Doublé from Championship and Cup (1934 ). Since the 1970s, the club commuted between fourth and second-tier; Mid-June 2009 had the FC Sète register its illiquidity and was then degraded by the national association for 2009/10 from the third division to the sechstklassige Division d'Honneur. In the 2013/14 season in the fifth league he takes ( CFA2 ); this season the Green-Whites returned for the first time in the nation's sporting headlines back when they penetrated in the cup competition into the knockout stages.
