FC Vestsjælland

The Vestsjaelland ( German: FC West Zealand, in short: FCV ) is a Danish football club from Slagelse, which was established on 1 July 2008. The club plays its home games in the arena Harboe Slagelse. FC Vestsjælland plays in the Super Ligaen, the highest league in Danish football. Current coach Ove Pedersen is.

General

The colors of the club are red and blue. The home shirt is predominantly red with white edges on sleeves and collar. The pants are completely in a bright blue, while the neck include red again with white accents.

History

The FC Vestsjælland is a sister club Slagelse BK & IF. It was founded on July 1, 2008. Trainer was first Jeppe Tengbjerg. This managed the team from now on in the 2nd Division Øst, the third- highest league in Denmark. Although Tengbjerg yielded good work and led the team to the top, he was released end of March 2009 and replaced by former Bundesliga player Michael Schjønberg. This managed in the remaining games to move up to the Viasat Sport Division. With Ove Pedersen, the club was promoted to the first division in the summer of 2013.

Stadium

The club play their home games in the arena Harboe from Slagelse in Slagelse. The multi-purpose arena has a capacity of 10,000 visitors. Of these, 3,300 seats available. It was built already served in 1927 by the municipality of the city and then on to the parent club Slagelse BK & IF. During the football boom in Denmark in the 1970s, the stadium was utilized regularly. Especially in encounters with the then rival Holbæk B & I found many viewers to get there.
