Fear My Thoughts

Fear My Thoughts was a German metal band with melodic death metal and metalcore influences, founded in Rheinfelden (Baden) 1998.

History

Their first mini-CD Sapere Aude was relatively experimental, can still be described as old-school hardcore. Which musical path would be taken, could be seen on the first album 23, which was published in 2001 Let It Burn Records and had already seen the first signs of. This was followed by the album Vitriol, which was affected as was the two predecessors of bands like Converge or Cave in 2002.

The 2004 Lifeforce Records (CD ) and Per Koro Records ( LP) published The Great Collapse differed sonically but by the predecessors. It combines hardcore and death metal with each other, with influences from completely different directions to identify (for of them repeatedly emphasized Iron Maiden and Radiohead ). With the 2005 publication of Hell Sweet Hell to Fear My Thoughts remove more from the hardcore and contact more Melodic Death Metal, reminiscent of bands like Soilwork, At the Gates or Arch Enemy.

Since 2006, the band is under contract with Century Media. In January 2007, the new album was released with the name Vulcan. Fear My Thoughts already played more than 150 shows all over Europe with bands like Caliban, Exodus, Hypocrisy, The Haunted and the X-Mass Metal Festival with Wintersun, Hypocrisy, Exodus, Liar and Naglfar. On 18 July 2008, the band released the album isolation. The album is characterized by progressive riffs and variable song of the new singer Martin Fischer.

On 25 November 2009 Fear My Thoughts gave on the band's website their resolution for 2010. They played on 19 February 2010 her farewell concert in Lörrach. Martin Fischer completed in October 2012, the band Long Distance Calling to.
