Felipe Guimarães

Felipe Guimarães (born 22 March 1991 Anápolis ) is a Brazilian racing driver.

Career

Guimarães began his motorsport career in karting in 2000 and was active until 2006 in this sport. In the following years he started to continue for some kart racing. In 2007 he entered the Formula racing and was with two wins right off the bat fourth in the South American Formula 3 Championship. 2008, the Brazilian moved to Europe in the Euro Series 3000, where he started at 6 out of 16 races. At the end of the season, he finished with a second place as best result in ninth place overall. In winter 2008/2009 Guimarães competed in the A1GP series for the Brazilian team. As the only pilot of the team, he achieved a second place and finished with the team to 15th overall. He then competed in three races in the Indy Lights and showed places two, three and four. In the overall standings, he ranked 23rd.

Guimarães 2010 returned to Europe and started for the Addax team in the newly formed GP3 Series. At the end of the season, he finished with a third place as best result the 16th overall.
