Fevzi Åžeker

Fevzi Şeker ( born July 27, 1962 in Sivas, Turkey, † 15 December, 2011 Elmadağ, Turkey ) is a former Turkish wrestler. He was European champion in 1990 in the free style in a lightweight.

Career

Fevzi Şeker began in 1972 in his home town of Sivas with the rings. After he was pushed forward as a junior in the national forefront of freestyle wrestler, he switched to sports club Fatih Güres Külübünde Istanbul. Later, he also wrestled yet for Tofas Spor Kulübü SAS, Simtel Spor and Iskenderun Külübü Demircelik Spor Külübünde. The coaches, mainly in his career assisted him were Servet Meric, Nasuh Akar and Muharrem Atik.

His international career began Ringer age of 17 in 1979. He finished this year at the Balkan Games in Yambol in Lightweight 2nd place. In 1981, he came at the Junior World Championships in Vancouver in lightweight on an excellent 3rd place. In this year he also started already at the European Championship in Lodz and took there at lightweight with a win over Zsura Janos from Hungary and defeats Karl -Heinz Ruch from the FRG and Jukka Rauhala from Finland the 7th Place.

1983 celebrated Fevzi Şeker at the European Championships in Budapest in lightweight after winning the European vice-champion title his first big success in the seniors.
